Grace & Guidance Wellness offers a unique specialized service within our community, as every single one of our staff members have a direct personal relationship to one or more first responders or veterans. Our staff either grew up in a first responder or veteran family, previously served as a first responder or veteran themselves, or have spouses who have or currently serve. We believe this dual insight is an important aspect to provide practical and comprehensive quality of care and various services to our hometown heroes. The owner, Lona Snell, quickly recognized the need to target the current gaps and challenges that our first responders face, including off duty processing. It has therefore become her and her team’s passion to provide various services to our community helpers! They collaborate with others to create a courageous culture that encourages all first responders and veterans to reach out to trustworthy staff who “get it”! These various services can include counseling, consulting, CIDP, EMDR, or CISM.
Additionally, Lona Snell currently assists multiple departments and provides whole group behavioral health trainings and curriculum that includes awareness, preventatives, mental health assessments and practical interventions. On site trainings can be provided that can include compassion fatigue (burn-out), PTSD, resiliency, suicidal prevention, intervention techniques, mental health and coping techniques, conflict resolution, sensitivity training, and peer support.
Behavioral Health Departmental Curriculum is also available for purchase. Please email Lona Snell at lsnell@counselingmail.com to request a training and/or pricing for your department.
May we continue to unite and create a courageous culture, to address the common needs of our first responders and veterans!
